thanks for the good wishes and the lovely update. We also had a great Christmas, as we always do. Just nice to have everyone around to hang out. In our house these days, that is rare. Here's a quote right back at ya, and yes, I heard it on Oprah. Sometimes guys watch Oprah, if they are in touch with their feminine side, and eveyone knows thats me.

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. Its about learning to dance in the rain!"

from about 2 years ago but one of my favs, heres
THE JOKE OF THE DAY

Why parents go grey...
(December 20, 2007)

The boss of a big company needed to call one of his employees about an urgent problem with one of the main computers. He dialed the employees home phone number and was greeted with a child's whispered, "Hello?"

Feeling put out at the inconvenience of having to talk to a youngster the boss asked, "Is your Daddy home?"

"Yes", whispered the small voice.

"May I talk with him?" the man asked. To the surprise of the boss, the small voice whispered, "No."

Wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, "Is your Mommy there?"

"Yes", came the answer.

"May I talk with her?" Again the small voice whispered, "no".

Knowing that it was not likely that a young child would be left home alone, the boss decided he would just leave a message with the person who should be there watching over the child. "Is there any one there besides you?" the boss asked the child.

"Yes" whispered the child, "A policeman".

Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the boss asked, "May I speak with the policeman"?

"No, he's busy", whispered the child.

"Busy doing what?, asked the boss.

"Talking to Daddy and Mommy and the Fireman", came the whispered answer.

Growing concerned and even worried as he heard what sounded like a helicopter through the ear piece on the phone the boss asked, "What is that noise?"

"A hello-copper", answered the whispering voice. "What is going on there?", asked the boss, now alarmed. In an awed whispering voice the child answered, "The search team just landed the hello-copper"

Alarmed, concerned and more than just a little frustrated the boss asked, "Why are they there"?

Still whispering, the young voice replied along with a muffled giggle:

"They're looking for me"

Happy Holidays to you all! I recall a while back reading that you all were looking for some peer support for Miss Marin. I kept that in mind and wanted to give you this name and website. Carolyn Rubenstein, a college friend of mine at Duke University, founded a non-profit at age 14 (she's now 22) for childhood cancer survivors. It began as a letter-writing/pen pal program for children and adolescents to get in touch with each other and share their stories, triumphs, tribulations, or simply just make connections regarding the normal pressures of growing up. Now they also provide college scholarships each year for childhood cancer survivors as well. anyway, just thought I'd send along the info--Carolyn is only 22 and she's already founded her own national nonprofit and is publishing a book!

http://www.change.org/nonprofit_page/nonprofit_home/91508

P.S. Good job at the meet at Maryland! My "old school" Dynamo friends and I were all cheering you on! Congratulations--so admirable!

Why is it that on school mornings I am dead to the world at 5am and the alarm clock is my enemy BUT on Saturdays I'm wide awake at 4:55am? Hope you guys made it back home safely with many treasured memories for Marin of her great successes. Having caught up on guestbook entries the one that really caught my attention was the one with the catchy phrase "trials in April." It just kind of takes my breath away to think about Marin being there. OK -- actually now it's making me get a little teary-eyed. Katie will get a chance to watch triathlon trials as they have been moved to Tuscaloosa instead of Honolulu. She is excited to get the chance to observe it all first hand and hopefully meet some big name athletes. Thought Marin might like to know that my kids now ask daily to look at her picture on my laptop! Hope you guys have a terrific weekend with lots of fun holiday events! Love and prayers, Whitney

Hi, Marin and everyone...
If I'm reading the journal right, it looks like you swam very well last weekend. I can't tell what the next step is...sounds like trials in April?

Whatever it is...you are already a champ. I'll look forward to hearing how the rest of the trip went.

Hey...Saebo invented a new attachment to the SaeboFlex...for the elbow! It's called the SaeboReach (just what we needed...one more new "Saebo" word!!

Your new therapists should know about it, too!

What fun to be able to be in Ashley's wedding!!!!

That is so cool.

Looking forward to hearing more,

Wow, dudes and dudettes, it was very cool seeing some of the Morrison clan last nite. You girls looked marvelous! For a few minutes it seemed like you never left. Hope you enjoy those CHHS goodies the team sent, and other stuff too. Marin, I know it doesn't seem like it, but you have come such a long way. Sure, its been since your last layover that we saw you, but Divette and I were both so excited to see how mobile and well spoken you were. You truly are our hero!!!!!! THE JOKE OF THE DAY

Increase the donation...
(December 8, 2007)

The crumbling, old church building needed remodeling, so the preacher made an impassioned appeal, looking directly at the richest may in town. At the end of the message, the rich man stood up and announced, "Pastor, I will contribute $1,000."

Just then, plaster fell from the ceiling and struck the rich man on the shoulder. He promptly stood again and shouted, "Pastor, I will increase my donation to $5,000."

Before he could sit back down, plaster fell on him again, and again he virtually screamed, "Pastor, I will double my last pledge."

He sat down, and an larger chunk of plaster fell hitting him on the head. He stood once more and hollered, "Pastor, I will give $20,000!"

This prompted a deacon to shout, "Hit him again, Lord! Hit him again!"

Tis that time of year, lets all be as generous as we can. Yep, should happen all year, but it usually doesn't, so lets just do what we can.

I tried to get onto the guestbook from my school laptop today with no success -- so now that I'm back home here's a late "good luck" wish. I spent all day thinking about Marin's backstroke and showed my kids her picture and explained what she was doing today. So now she has a new group of first grade fans who are all rooting for her to have a great meet. I always tell Katie before all her races -- trust God, trust your training, and trust yourself. I think I wrote that here before but it has always helped her to calm her nerves and focus on what she wants to do in a race. Much love and many prayers for you today Marin! Whitney

Your swimming ability totally amazes me every time I read about how well you have done. My ability is to float in a pool 20 seconds and think I have really done something, and then I go to the deep end hanging on to the side of the pool and that is a great feat...I keep wishing that one day it will come and I will be able to hop in the pool and swim like most people do. Oh well, I sure love to hear about what you are doing and am so glad you could go to Maryland. Thought Marin might be interested to know that we went down to watch Short Course Nationals last night and tonight. Since it was partially sponsored by AT&T we were able to get amazing seats -- right in the middle of the pool and only 3 rows back. We got to watch several Swim Atlanta swimmers and I mortified Katie by how loud I cheered for Kathleen who just got out-touched in the 200 Fly tonight (like a tenth of a second!). Very cool to see folks like Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte, and Natalie Coughlin. I hope Marin's upcoming meet will be an amazing experience for her and that she is thriving with the preparation and training. Enjoy the snow. Bill, the Clevelander, is whining a lot about it being December and warm enough not to need coats but I think it is awesome! Love and prayers, Whitney

Hi Marin and family, hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Ours was very enjoyable up in Napa at Gram and Grumpy's. Everyone was there save Ed and Barb who were in Denver. Tossed the football, shot hoops with Owen and Eli, both of whom are quite good. Great food also. I'm so glad to hear how well Marin, Cammie and Michael are doing in school and sports. Keep it going. Yeah! Talk to you soon. LOL Uncle Gus

Happy Thanksgiving to all! We are not surprised by the good report cards, great kids do great things. Really nice article about Aby Alton in the paper yesterday, rated as one of the top 6 swimmers in Gwinnett and in great company with her bud and yours Jordan Evans. Both those girls are amazing, and I know miss you guys a bunch. I see Jordan regularly and we usually talk about Marin, swimming, and her future at Tech. Usually in that order. Have a great holiday and enjoy
THE JOKE OF THE DAY

Gobbler said, "Doctor, help me! I can't stop acting like a turkey!"
"I see," said the doctor. "How long have you had this problem?"
"Let me think a second. Mom laid the egg in 1954..."

If April showers bring May flowers, what do May flowers bring?
Pilgrims!

Why did the turkey cross the road?
It was the chicken's day off.

If the Pilgrims were alive today, what would they be most famous for?
Their AGE

Why can't you take a turkey to church?
Because they use such FOWL language

What are the feathers on a turkey's wings called?
Turkey feathers

What's the best dance to do on Thanksgiving?
The turkey trot

Can a turkey jump higher than the Empire State Building?
Yes - a building can't jump at all

What do you get when you cross a turkey with an octopus?
Enough drumsticks for Thanksgiving

How can you make a turkey float?
You need 2 scoops of ice cream, some root beer, and a turkey

What kind of music did the Pilgrims like?
Plymouth Rock

Which side of the turkey has the most feathers?
The outside

Why did they let the turkey join the band?
Because he had the drumsticks

Love to all!

So all the Junes get up at 6am for the Gobble Jog and it's pouring down rain and thundering!!! Forget going back to sleep -- I guess I'll start cooking the turkey. I can't quite figure out whether to be grateful for the downpour or to worry about my gutters backing up since we haven't cleaned them out yet! At any rate -- one thing I know for sure is that gamma knives are on my thankful list this year. And so is the priviledge of getting to know Marin and the whole Morrison family. I hope this day will stand out in memory as your best Thanksgiving ever. Extra love and prayers on this wonderful holiday! Whitney

We miss you SO-O-O-O-O-O-O-O Much. We continue to be in awe of Marin's strength and passion for LIFE ! Congratulations to Marin for her Inspiratinal award. Here I was inspired by the success of my son's Newport Harbor HS varsity waterpolo team taking the CIF championship on Friday night and then I discover Marin's recent award.

Will you be coming to SOCAL for the holidays. Let us know as we are determined to get the GANG together. It has been way too long.

Hi Morrisons, I talked to a friend of mine in Iowa yesterday who also had the cyber knife radiation and it went well for her, too. You are all in our thoughts and prayers every day as I am sure you know that you have prayers coming in from all over the world. I like to read the guestbook when I get a chance and see where the messages come from. Your swimming sounds great, Marin, and now that you are finished with one sport, Cammie, are you headed to another and I have a hard time imagining 5 year olds playing basketball. I would guess it's very cute to see. We hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving with turkey and all the trimmings. We are going to have two dinners, crazy, huh??? And, not necessary but sometimes you have to go along with families and holidays. Love to all of you from, Aunt Jeannie and Uncle Bruce

Yes indeed first meet of the season, a tri-meet so the deck was stuffed to the point of people nearly falling in the pool. Very loud, very hot, thanks goodness we had the excuse to cut out early due to Divette's getting tired from standing to long, although she is doing great after only 2 weeks of recovery. We saw lots and lots of M's on shoulders. The "Swim Marin Strong" presence I believe is at Collins Hill to stay.
Hope all is well, seems like nothing but good news of late, which is great. You were overdue. Love to all

Nancy,
Many moons ago we sat at the dance studio waiting or the girls (Cammie, Sophie and Lauren)---You were pregnant then--And here I am reading that Michael is in kindergarten!!

Sophie is swimming this year, as a junior, for Collins Hill---first meet was tonight---all the kids had a "M" on their shoulder for Marin---and someone told me about the site---so great to get caught up on your life and to hear that Marin is still swimming---

I will pray for healing for Marin and peace for you all----

Seems like yesterday we were talking "baby names!!"

Marin looks beautiful in the photo!!
Love to all!!

Hope it has been a great week for the Morrisons. The past 2 week have just been a giant blur of activity. Katie got knocked down at the first turn at State Meet last weekend and most likely had a mild concussion. To her credit, she got up off the ground and ran like mad to get 17th in 5A. As proud as we are of that, she is still upset at what she might have accomplished were it not for the fall. I'll give you one guess what person came up many times in the conversation on the way home??!! I just reminded Katie of Marin and how she has dealt with the change in her athletic journey with so much grace. And also how Marin has never let "what if's.." and "not fairs" keep her from setting and obtaining new goals. And it must have helped because she's already making plans for next season! Hope you guys have a great weekend with lots of family fun! Love and prayers, Whitney

THE JOKE OF THE DAY

Hilliaryisms

Hrillary Clinton said that her childhood dream was to be an Olympic athlete, but she was not atyhletic enough. She said she wanted to be an astronaut, but at the time they didn't take women. She said she wanted to go into medicine, but hospitals made her woozy. Should she be telling people this story? I mean she's basically saying she wants to be president because she can't do anything else.” --Jay Leno

"Well, the big story -- Hillary Clinton will be running for president in 2008. You know why I think she's running? I think she finally wants to see what it's like to sleep in the president's bed.” --Jay Leno

"Top Democrats have mixed feelings about Sen. Hillary Clinton running for president. Apparently, some Democrats don't like the idea, while others hate it.” --Conan O'Brien

"In a fiery speech this weekend, Hillary Clinton wondered why President Bush can't find the tallest man in Afghanistan. Probably for the same reason she couldn't find the fattest intern under the desk.” --Jay Leno

"Former President Bill Clinton said that if his wife, Hillary, is elected president, he will do whatever she wants. You know Bill Clinton when he makes a vow to Hillary, you can take that to the bank.” --Jay Leno

A student from the University of Washington has sold his soul on eBay for $400. He's a law student, so he probably doesn't need it, but still, that's not very much. Today, Hillary Clinton said, 'Hey, at least I got some furniture and a Senate seat for mine.” - -Jay Leno

"Hillary Clinton said today that she wants legislation to allow all ex-felons to vote. See, this way all the Clinton's former business partners can vote for her in 2008.” --Jay Leno

Hillary Clinton's 506-page memoirs have come out. So much of her personality shines through, that in the end, you, too, will want to sleep with an intern.” Craig Kilborn

In Hillary Clinton's new book 'Living History,' Hillary details what it was like meeting Bill Clinton, falling in love with him, getting married, and living a passionate, wonderful life as husband and wife. Then on page two, the trouble starts.” - - Jay Leno

"In the book, she says when Bill told her he was having an affair; she said "I could hardly breathe, I was gulping for air. No, I'm sorry, that's what Monica said.”

- - David Letterman

"Hillary Clinton, our junior senator from New York, announced that she has no intentions of ever, ever running for office of the President of the United States. Her husband, Bill Clinton, is bitterly disappointed. He is crushed. There go his dreams of becoming a two-impeachment family.” - - David Letterman

"Last night, Senator Hillary Clinton hosted her first party in her new home in Washington. People said it was a lot like the parties she used to host at the White House. In fact, even the furniture was the same.” - - Jay Leno

"Senator Hillary Clinton is attacking President Bush for breaking his campaign promise to cut carbon dioxide emissions, saying a promise made, a promise broken. And then out of habit, she demanded that Bush spend the night on the couch.” - - Craig Kilborn

"CNN found that Hillary Clinton is the most admired woman in America. Women admire her because she's strong and successful. Men admire her because she allows her husband to cheat and get away with it.” - - Jay Leno

"Hillary Clinton is the junior senator from the great state of New York. When they swore her in, she used the Clinton family Bible the one with only seven commandments.” --David Letterman

Was just thinking about you guys. I am sitting here in the waiting room at Northside Looking across the street to Egleston, wondering if they ever got the renovations done that were going on there during your extended stay. Man that seems a long time ago. Both of these are just great hospitals. Of course your RMH is just down the street, I remember that first day there too. I cannot tell you how excited we all are about those MRI results. I know, I know, not done yet. But that lil &#(*&! tumor is on its way out. Keep up the hard work Marin, its paying off.

Hey Marin! We had a fun Halloween too. Jacob was the Riddler (from Batman). He has been almost every other villian from the show. I made a costume with question marks all over it. He had fun. Hannah was working at Brusters. This morning we were out early before 6:00, painting up faces, braiding hair, and getting the orange team ready. The CHHS swim team had a team bonding day, of course Hannah wanted to be orange. You know it is not unusual for us to have people with face paint. Chris Rutledge was there, having to endure the orange tutu that I made for him to wear. Go orange team!
Hope you are having a great weekend. School is very busy. Hannah has all of her info in for UGA. We will hope to find out something in December. We are praying for you each day. Enjoy an extra hour of sleep! Love, Lu Ann Drum

Katie had to be at school at 6am to ride the team bus to regions -- so now I'm pacing the floor as nervous as I can ever remember being for her until we leave at 7am. So checking in on Marin seems like the best way to calm myself down. I am trying to imagine what yesterday was like for you guys and I just can't. Certainly puts my silly nerves in perspective! I hope it helped to know that so many people have been praying extra hard for the past few days. I'll check back in when we get home this afternoon. Love and prayers, Whitney

New Joke
Man forgets his wife's birthday.

Needless to say she is not happy. She demands that something that goes from 0-200 in ten seconds or less be in her driveway the next morning.

She wakes up the next morning and sees a large box in the drive way.

She opens the box and finds a bathroom scale.

Husband has been missing for 2 weeks now.

Marin & Family,
My thoughts and prayers for you continue as you face each day with faith, hope and love. Let your light continue to shine for others as it has for me. May its healing warmth always strengthen you. May God's love sustain you all!

I will think of you and pray for you as I visit my medical oncologist for the very first time (also this Thursday). I know my upcoming chemo treatment will be an adventure strengthened by my familiarity with a part of your journey in and with Christ.

Love & Blessings in Christ from one who has in the past and who is now about to experience a part of what you have and are experiencing. Thank you for already paving a bit of the way I too must travel.

I usually check in on you every day, along with some other CaringBridge friends, but I haven't been sharing some time to write a note to you in too long. I was thinking tonight that it has been two years since I had the comfort of knowing that you were just across the street. I appreciated you all being there so much! We finally had some cooler weather, still dry, but a relief to break the heat I thought we only had while in Texas! Marin, you awe me with all you have accomplished...keep looking ahead and making all who follow you awe struck!

Thanks today to Susie Gardner for:

THE JOKE OF THE DAY

The Pacific Northwest According To Jeff Foxworthy:

1. You know the state flower (Mildew)

2. You feel guilty throwing aluminum cans or paper in the trash.

3. Use the statement "sun break" and know what it means.

4. You know more than 10 ways to order coffee.

5. You know more people who own boats than air conditioners.

6. You feel overdressed wearing a suit to a nice restaurant.

7. You stand on a deserted corner in the rain waiting for the "Walk"
Signal.

8. You consider that if it has no snow or has not recently erupted, is
not a real mountain.

9. You can taste the difference between Starbucks, Seattle's Best, and
Veneto's.

10. You know the difference between Chinook, Coho, and Sockeye Salmon.

11. You know how to pronounce Sequim, Puyallup, Issaquah , Oregon, Yakima , and Willamette.

12. You consider swimming an indoor sport.

13.You can tell the difference between Japanese, Chinese and Thai food.

14. In winter, you go to work in the dark and come home in the dark-while only working eight hour days.

15. You never go camping without waterproof matches and a poncho.

16. You are not fazed by "Today's forecast : showers followed by rain," and "Tomorrow's forecast: rain followed by showers."

17. You have no concept of humidity without precipitation.

18. You know that Boring is a town in Oregon and not just a state of
mind.

19. You can point to at least two volcanoes, even if you cannot see
through the cloud cover.

20. You notice, "The mountain is out" when it is a pretty day and you can actually see it.

21. You put on your shorts when the temperature gets above 50, but still wear your hiking boots and parka.

22. You switch to your sandals when it gets about 60, but keep the socks on.

23. You have actually used your mountain bike on a mountain.

24. You think people who use umbrellas are either wimps or tourists.

25. You buy new sunglasses every year, because you cannot find the old ones after such a long time.

26. You measure distance in hours.

27. You often switch from "heat" to "a/c" in the same day.

28. You design your kid's Halloween costume to fit under a raincoat.

29. You know all the important seasons: Almost Winter, Winter, Still
Raining (Spring), Road Construction (Summer), Deer & Elk Season (Fall).

30. You actually understood these jokes and will probably forward them.

I think I get most of them. I know the area by reputation but of course I have never lived there or even visited. Want to visit, so Marin, keep that guest room open, even the garage. Very nice of Susie to contribute because as tiem goes on it gets tougher and tougher to find jokes that meet my parameters for a young teenage girls website. Keep smilin!

I missed y'all SO much at the reunion, I'm JUST so ready to see y'all again! It was wierd seeing all those people without you there by my side. I got to see a lot a few people that I new and then I got introduced to a few more. About the swimming, Marin you are the SWEETEST person that I know and with time everything will come back to you! From the first time we met, me just laughing at one girl when NO one else would and then you started laughing at me because I couldn't stop laughing! VERY memorable! Anyways, I know things are hard now but in time things will get easier and you will get better! We were in a whole now we have to climb out... Looks like Katie is probably not going to be able to swim for her high school as there is just too much overlap with cross country and she is admitting for the first time that her 86 pound body needs a rest! Hi Morrisons, I haven't signed in some time so thought I had better fill you in on what's been happening. We took a little trip on September 12th and while on the trip, I tripped on the sidewalk and broke my leg (9/18), so that was the end the vacation for me as Uncle Bruce did a little touring by himself. We got home on 9/26, and I went from a large white cast to a large (full leg), black brace. You have been my inspiration, Marin, as I have learned to do more for myself everyday -- stuff I was so sure I couldn't do at the beginning. Tomorrow I will be able to start putting some weight on the leg and maybe get the brace off in two weeks. Uncle Bruce had his robotic prostate surgery Friday and was able to come home yesterday. He is doing ok and moving very slow but he is sure that in a week, he should feel much better -- Thanks to all the people who kept him in their prayers. We have had a beautiful Fall and hope you are, also. It helps everyone feel good when the sun shines. We think of all of you and keep you in our prayers every day...With Love from Aunt Jeannie, Uncle Bruce and Ben ps Ben is being a very good help right now since we both have health issues and probably really thinks we are OLD even though we know we are not!!!!

Hi Marin,
It sounds like things are going quite well. Hopefully you'll get the school issues resolved soon. I wonder if your local social services agency has an advocacy program for kids like you? We are all well. Lots of soccer right now and trying to stay on top of school. We think about you every day and have a Buddah and insense holder where we light insense during bathtime and make a Marin prayer.

THE JOKE OF THE DAY

Who is in charge?

Bill and Hilary were driving through Little Rock, and when they passed by a gas station a big man yelled 'Hi Hilary' and Hilary said 'Hi Bubba'.

Bill asked 'who was that?' And Hilary told him it was a old high school boyfriend. Bill said, 'See if you married him you would be married to a gas station attendant, but you married me now you're the first lady.'

And Hilary told him, 'If I married him he would be the president, and you would be the gas station attendant.'

Not all that funny, but probably true. I am ready for a woman president. Just not that woman. Where's Maggie Thatcher? Hope all is well on both coasts.

Hey kids. had a great weekend at Unicoi park. Beautiful weather, great cabin (can't believe I got one with one week notice), great hiking, great masses of humanity in Helen. Holy Toledo, I had forgotten how zoolike Helen can get during Octoberfest. Diriculous! Glad we hiked in from Unicoi because is was taking about 45 minutes to get through the center of Helen by car. Leaves hadn't really started to change yet, but the trails are still great and only mildly rigurous. Only disappointment was B was to busy to go, just the girls and me. I was their body gaurd against the bears.

Really excited to hear all the good news of late. Really! Things are going to be looking up. I firmly believe the next MRI is going to show more good news. Lots of positive vibes!!

I've never had to go throught the journal to read older entries . . . you can tell my life is too full if I'm not here. I was in PA with my 80 year old mom who is having chemo for lymphoma of the bone (she really is doing great, though -- but we were busy). The walk I organize is at the end of the month and my husband and I are going away for the first time (just the two of us) in 7 YEARS -- anyway, too much. I look forward to November, actually :-)

I am sorry the school stuff is a problem. That just shouldn't be (we are very lucky here in Gwinnett at Brookwood -- but AJ is for the most part, independent so we're lucky). Friends . . . that's another issue. He has one from before (a super busy kid) and that is totally it. Very, very hard.

Oh, well. I think of you all often and enjoyed Marin's email!

Amazing incredible Marin. You truly are that. I'm glad to hear that things are going well in your training for the Dec. meet in MD. From the postings on your site, it looks like you'll have a lot of support back east. That's so great! I'm always delighted and gratified to see how many caring and wonderful people from all over the country and the world are with you. All of them have my deepest gratitude.
Here were seeing the first series of storms of the year. Last weekend was beautiful, bright sunshine but not too hot. Perfect weather for Warren Hellman's Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park. This guy spends millions of his own money to put on this free concert every year. 71 acts on 5 stages over 2 days. Incredible talent, great vibe. Saw Moonalice, a band featuring G.E. Smith(Saturday Night Live),Pete Sears and Jack Casady. They did a couple of Jerry songs. Really cool.
So sweetie, keep training hard, I know you'll get that breaststroke worked out. I'll be checking on you daily. Love Uncle Gus

I have kept up with Marin through this site and I know what it is like to be faced with uncertaintity. I lost a daughter to neuroblastoma in 1997, at the age of 14, and I know as a parent you are willing to do whatever possible to help your child. I know you have asked if anyone has any info on anything that might help Marin. I had a conversation with a gentlemen that kind of peeked my interest. He told me about some health success stories because of an alternative medicine. I have no idea if this would work but thought I would share a couple of web sites with you. They are ashnow.com and themostimportantwebsite.com

We will continue to keep Marin in our prayers.

Nick got back from California LATE Sunday night ... great trip to the land of David Beckham (who was at the Home Depot Center training while our team was there!!) He loved LA and had a blast ... saw the Santa Monica pier and walked around a bit.

Take care!

Hey Marin and Family,

With the new baby, it's been a little while since I wrote in your guestbook. Just wanted to say a quick hey to you and your amazing family. I'm still keeping tabs on all of you and continue to be impressed with your heart and courage. You're always a topic at our Athletes Committee meetings for the US Olympic Committee and you'd be shocked at how many of them are reading your website on a regular basis. I would love for you to come speak to our group about your Foundation (Dec time period in San Francisco)if you can work it into your schedule. I see you have a meet around that time near my home town in MD. I'll give your Dad a ring and follow up. Just wanted to let you know that you're in our hearts and still pushing us to be better people. Have a wonderful day and hope to take a swim with you soon! You are in my nightly prayers. Keep smiling!

One of your biggest fans,

Mark Henderson

PS. I went way past being the dorky new Dad with a wallet full of pictures...built my daughter, Brooke, a website. Already wearing a bikini...I'm in big trouble! Suggestions for the new Dad? (http://web.mac.com/athvillage/iWeb/Brooke%27s%20Website/Welcome.html)

Hi Marin and Family! I don't know if you remember me, but I connected Dave Denniston to you and he wrote the article about you in Swimming World Magazine. Anyway, I see that you will be competing in College Park, Maryland, in December. Is there any kind of meet link for the event? I live in Northern Virginia and would love to come out and support you when you compete! Let me know! I still read the journal entries every week and it's great to see that you are still as courageous as you were two years ago! :) Take care and hope to hear from you soon!

Hi Marin, Nancy, Matt and Family! I still follow your site almost every day.

Nancy, can you send me your email address again? I want to forward you some information regarding a National Federation of High School Swimming Rules change that I will be submitting this year. Thought you would be interested.

Sorry that school, therapies, etc are not all ironed out yet. Always a pain to get things organized. Hopefully will happen soon. Think of you all often.
